Revolution sneak peek: Stop that train!

As Revolution's Matheson family struggles to stay alive and reunite with their long-lost members, their hunters are hot on their trail. What do you do when the power goes out and modern technology fails? If you're the Monroe Republic, you use older technology. Can the Mathesons defeat a steam engine? We hope so!

How will Revolution's Mathesons fare now that it's just Uncle Miles , Charlie and a few stragglers? Will they be able to rescue Danny from the Monroe Republic Militia?

The sneak peek doesn't look very promising.

Yes. That's a steam engine. You know, like the kind Abe Lincoln or Mark Twain might have used to roll around the country. Somehow the Monroe Republic Militia has commandeered a freaking train. It's what "swag" looks like in a post-apocolyptic dystopian society.

Who's on the train? Not only Monroe himself, Uncle Miles' one-time friend and current archenemy, but Danny Matheson. One convoluted plan seems to stand between life and death for Danny, Charlie, Miles and the rest of the gang.

It's already been a rocky decade and a half for the Matheson family . Since the power went out, the dynamics of the family have continued to be in flux. First, Dad died. Then, the kids set out to find their Uncle Miles. They found him, but somehow Mom ended up working for the bad guys, the Monroe Republic.

Uncle Miles used to be part of the Monroe Republic too, but he's on his own now. Sort of. He's got his niece, Charlie, and for a while he had her brother, Danny, too. Until recently, he also had the help of his new tagalong friend, Maggie. Then the unthinkable happened. Maggie was the one female role model that Charlie had left, and now she's dead.

Now, more than ever, the Mathesons need all the family and friends they can get. But by the end of the episode, will they have rescued a family member or lost another ally?
