[Spoiler alert: This article contains information that pertains to the current season of PLL. If you aren't caught up, don't say we didn't warn you.]

Last season, Pretty Little Liars' Aria and Ezra went from Rosewood's cutest clandestine couple to the breakup that broke every fangirl's heart.

Lucy Hale shares the secret behind her success: I never had a plan B >>

Believe us, we weren't immune. Which is why we couldn't wait to ask Aria's real-life counterpart, Lucy Hale, if there is any chance Aria and our favorite English teacher might kiss and makeup once and for all. And, you know, have cute little Ezrian babies.

"Is that what you want?" she asked us, laughing. "I feel like that's what you want." But, as it turns out, we aren't alone in the sentiment. Hale is also still holding out for a happy ending for Aria and Ezra, who have reconnected in the last few episodes.

"I feel like that's what I want too," she revealed. "I want it to work out."

Still, the couple clearly has some serious skeletons (both figurative and literal, unfortunately) to overcome before reconciliation can happen. According to Hale, they'll at least start to work through some of those issues this season. "It's very push and pull," she told us about their relationship. "It's like a tug-of-war at all times."

Of course, that's not totally unlike your typical high school relationship… which, naturally, led us to ask the question on everyone's minds: Are the Liars ever going to, you know, don caps and gowns and head off to college?

"Oh my gosh, we always laugh about that," Hale admitted. "I'm like, 'This is the slowest moving show!' because through five seasons it's been, like, six months. I don't know if we graduate this year or next season, but I've heard a rumor for seventh season what's going to happen…which I can't say what, but I hope it does."

Since the Liars are, in fact, still in high school this season, there's still plenty of drama to be had between Aria and Ezra.

"I feel bad for them. I want them to have a consistently good relationship, but something like him getting shot is always happening," she laughed, adding, "Obviously you know he's alive at this point, and she's kind of struggling on how much she can forgive and forget."

So while Hale won't divulge whether Aria and Ezra's love will ultimately survive, she does leave us with a pretty little promise. She hints, "There's a really good scene coming up that I think Ezria fans will quite enjoy."
