Letterman and Fallon may have taped shows in front of an empty house, but no other television show has felt the effect of Hurricane Sandy quite as badly as Jersey Shore. After all, the town where the cast spends their summers filming has been all but demolished.
To help Seaside Heights recover from Hurricane Sandy's destructive trek through town, MTV will air a special one-hour fundraiser on Thursday night at 11/10c. MTV is sure to open their studio doors to all the MTV reality celebs, but the only names they're naming so far are those from the cast of their hit show Jersey Shore.
The cast of Jersey Shore will take a break from GTL-ing on Thursday night to be featured on Restore the Shore. The fundraiser will donate all proceeds to Architecture for Humanity. Architecture for Humanity uses the money it receives to help those in need with construction and design costs. While the Seaside Heights boardwalk may not be first on the list of places that need to be rebuilt, it was nonetheless an important part of the community. The boardwalk not only helped bring in tourists, but also played a key role in MTV's Jersey Shore.
Whether Snooki, The Situation and the rest of the Jersey gang will be in-studio or on the scene is still up in the air. One way or another, expect to see them in all their bronzed glory.
