The Brady Bunch is coming back to television- but this time, with a twist!
Hollywood funnyman Vince Vaughn wants to tell us a story. It's about a lovely lady, with three lovely girls who meets a fellow with three handsome boys. Does this sound familiar? It's the premise for one of the most successful sitcoms of all time -- The Brady Bunch.
The original series put blended families on the map. And Vaughn's version that will push it a little further.
According to Deadline, this Brady Bunch will center on "a divorced Bobby Brady, with children of his own, is remarried to a woman who also has kids, and together they also share a child. In addition, their ex-spouses are still part of their lives."

The idea of the husband and wife sharing a biologic child is a nice twist. Plus, the inclusion of their old flames makes it much more realistic. The new Brady Bunch will be a multi-camera comedy, written by Mike Mariano, who previously worked on Raising Hope and My Name Is Earl.

Even though Vaughn came up with the idea, the Brady's original creative team is still involved. Lloyd Schwartz, the son of the late Sherwood Schwartz who created the first show, will executive-produce.
CBS is no stranger to TV reboots. They've experienced massive success with the revival of Hawaii Five-O, which is going on its third season. They managed to update the stories for modern audiences and plan to do the same for The Brady Bunch.
Also, for those wondering, the Brady's famous theme song is expected to remain intact -- with a few added tweaks.
