And no, I'm not being paid to say that. It's really that good. While the show first comes off as over-the-top and ridiculous (and I'm not just talking about what Ilana wears to her job), it quickly becomes clear that their jokes are actually spot-on social commentary.
Take this clip about being told to smile by strangers as a perfect example. I would take a bet that if you're a woman reading this over the age of, hmm, 4, you've been told to smile by a stranger. And even though smiling is usually a lovely thing to do, being told to do it by a stranger never feels lovely. It feels weird and aggressive and like you did something wrong.
And that is why Abbi and Ilana's response here just feels so very perfect:
