If Regina dies on OUAT, there's going to be a serious price to pay

$

Ever since Regina separated her evil half (the Evil Queen) from herself at the end of Season 5, Once Upon a Time fans have been wondering how the heck you actually kill the evil half. Well, that question seems to have been answered during tonight's episode, and it's something viewers definitely didn't want to hear.

More: OUAT's Charming and Snow are on a one-way road to splitsville

Apparently, the way to get rid of someone's evil half is to kill the original. That's right: In order for the Evil Queen to die, Regina must die, too. Obviously, there could be another way to kill her, but right now this is the only known way to get the job done. First Emma and now Regina? What is OUAT trying to do to its fans? Teasing the deaths of these two leading ladies isn't funny at all.

How did they figure this out? Oh, by Jekyll dying, which then resulted in the death of Hyde. Tonight's episode also flashed back to Jekyll and Hyde's past. Not only did viewers see the first time Jekyll ingested his serum to turn himself into Hyde, but we also learned that Hyde wasn't always the villain. Actually, Jekyll wasn't that great of a guy himself. I mean, he was responsible for arguing with a woman named Mary (who both Jekyll and Hyde loved) before she fell out of a window to her death.

Furthermore, in Storybrooke, Jekyll wanted to get revenge on Rumple for Mary's death. Back in the day, Rumple showed up as the Dark One and persuaded Jekyll to take the serum to turn into Hyde, and then chaos followed, which is why Jekyll hated Rumple. To get his revenge, Jekyll boarded the Jolly Roger and tried to kill Belle. His plan didn't work, thanks to Hook coming to save the day and Jekyll then dying.

More: OUAT’s Evil Queen is starting to tear apart the heroes — and it’s glorious

After watching both Jekyll and Hyde die, Rumple told Regina that, unfortunately, it looks like if she wants the Evil Queen to die, she is going to have to die as well. Seriously? I'm going to choose to believe there's another way for all this to go down. But if not, and Regina ends up dying, there's going to be hell to pay.

First of all, Regina out of everyone deserves a happy ending, and this sure doesn't sound like one. Plus, she is one of the best characters, and it's hard to imagine OUAT without her. I'm not sure the series could or would last without both Regina and Lana Parrilla.

On top of worrying if she really has to die in order to get rid of the Evil Queen once and for all, Regina is also scared that she'll turn evil again. Based on Jekyll (who was supposedly the good guy and got rid of his darkness), she now realizes that just because you get rid of your evil half, it doesn't necessarily mean the darkness is gone permanently. There is the capacity for evil to remain and grow back, but Emma assured Regina that she is stronger than Jekyll — though, in case she isn't, Regina made Emma promise to kill her if she ever returns to the dark side.

Does it really surprise anyone that Regina's fate looks grim and that there is a chance her happy ending will be ripped away from her again? Yeah, me either. Let's just keep those fingers crossed that they figure out another way to kill the Evil Queen, because Regina seriously deserves better.

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8/7c on ABC.

The way Westworld introduced religion didn't go over well with fans

Well, Westworld didn't waste any time getting extremely ambitious.

More: Evan Rachel Wood wants to kick ass in Hollywood

Tonight's episode of Westworld dove headfirst into the issue of the human consciousness, which means, undoubtedly, that religion and the idea of God are entering the show in a big way. The big question: Can a robot have a soul?

The answer, by Westworld's standards, seems to be a definitive "yes." Though we're only three episodes in, the show isn't wasting any time tackling the big themes. With characters like Dolores and Maeve "waking up" and remembering their pasts, it seems like the threads of consciousness are beginning to weave together for the hosts.

Does that mean that the missing element to the question of human consciousness is simply our ability to remember and organize our memories? No; the show has made it clear the answer isn't so simple, though it does seem to be a key component.

More: Westworld's strange happenings paint a bigger picture for Season 1

If this is where the show is headed, then it will no doubt upset the religious community for its scientific look at the core of humanity. In fact, some people are already anticipating the coming discussion.

Personally, I love it. I think the world is ready to have this conversation and to push it to new boundaries of comfort. I am a big believer that science and religion go hand-in-hand, and Westworld isn't just exploring the questions of humanity, it's also delving into the idea of God with Dr. Ford at the head.

More: Why is Westworld getting negative reviews? I freaking loved it

Bringing religion into Westworld, especially so quickly, is bound to make some people uncomfortable, but I think that's a good thing. Going outside of comfort zones is how people gain perspective and a better groundwork for their opinions.

Do you think Westworld should steer clear of religion or is it time to have a frank discussion about long-held beliefs?

Emily Blunt's SNL spoof of The Great British Bake Off is genius

Her Girl on the Train character Rachel doesn't have much opportunity to smile, but actress Emily Blunt showed her comedic skills on Saturday Night Live last weekend with a hilarious parody of everyone's favourite cooking show — The Great British Bake Off.

More: 5 reasons we're so sad to lose Mary Berry from The Great British Bake Off

In a one-off sketch for SNL, Blunt appeared with Cecily Strong as two best friends (who met when they were both in hospital getting their stomachs pumped) competing on the show. They revealed that they were on the show not because of their baking skills, but because they hadn't been able to get on Big Brother.

Kate McKinnon, who also stars in the new Ghostbusters movie, played a very convincing Mary Berry (the less said about Paul Hollywood the better). And of course, it wouldn't be GBBO without its fabulous hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.

Blunt's and Strong's wayward, gobby characters resort to cheating to try to win the show, punching one of their opponent's cakes to try to get the upper hand. But when they found out there was no prize money to be won for "the worst cake to ever appear on GBBO, they ditched the show for a night out — with Mary Berry in tow, naturally.

The BAFTA award-winning TV show, which airs under the name The Great British Baking Show in the U.S., drew a record audience for the launch episode of the current series — more than 10 million Brits tuned in to watch the new contestants show off their baking skills (which included producing jaffa cakes).

Soap fans hate product placements, but General Hospital doesn’t care

When you think of General Hospital, you don’t normally think of Marvel’s upcoming movie, Doctor Strange. However, Disney, who owns both Marvel and ABC, wants soap opera fans to add the superhero movie to their fall must-watch list.

More: 5 clues that give us hope Steve Burton is returning to General Hospital

On the Oct. 12 episode of GH, Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) share a romantic moment that takes an awkward turn when the movie is mentioned.

Doctor Strange plug on GH

Doctor Strange plug on GH

"Well, you know, Doctor Strange is about to hit theaters pretty soon," suggests Olivia.

"Well, you may be surprised to hear this, but if I can't see that movie with you, I won't see it," Wally replies in a husky voice, "It won't be the same. I don't want to pressure you, it's just, how I feel."

More: Steve Burton’s exit from Y&R signals a big problem in daytime TV

That giggle-worthy moment erupts into a hot, passionate kiss. Who knew Doctor Strange could elicit such sexy times?

But let’s take a step back and see what's really going on here — cross-promotion. While it’s fantastic that Disney has the ability to pitch their latest projects in their theme parks, TV shows and merchandise, can it at least feel organic?

It is unfair to have two terrific actors force a scene like that and it’s not the first time we’ve seen it on soaps. Back in 2010, when things were looking dire for all soaps, Days of Our Lives had some pretty awkward product placements, from Wanchai Ferry Chinese food to Cheerios and Midol. They caught a lot of flak for it from the fans.

More: Soap operas constantly tackle social issues — and often before other TV shows

It's no different this time around either. Viewers are smarter than this and deserve a storyline that is natural. The actors deserve dialogue that is worthy of their characters and the hard work they put in on the set.

There is no doubt that Doctor Strange is going to be a monster hit for Marvel. Do they really need to make GH plug it even more?

GBBO fans are all about Richard Ayoade as the next host

For loyal fans of The Great British Bake Off, watching the current (seventh) series has been bittersweet. Only two weeks after it launched, it was announced that the much-loved show would be moving from BBC1 to Channel 4, and that hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins wouldn't be going with it.

More: Emily Blunt's SNL spoof of The Great British Bake Off is genius

As if that weren't devastating enough, judge Mary Berry then revealed that she wouldn't be joining GBBO in its new home either. Her fellow judge Paul Hollywood will remain on the show, but fans seem to think Hollywood without Berry will be the biggest soggy bottom you could imagine.

But today came news so good that Bake Off traditionalists might just be willing to give the Channel 4 show a shot. It hasn't been confirmed, but it appears that the frontrunner for the presenting job is Richard Ayoade, best known for his roles in The IT Crowd, The Mighty Boosh and Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

According to The Sun, a source said, "Richard is a really popular choice at the minute, as many think he’s got a great character that would bring a great spark to the show. He’s got a wonderful off-beat sense of humour, which would really fit the change of channel — and would no doubt be a popular choice with viewers too. It’s still early days, but he is definitely up there and now the leading candidate."

Other names thrown into the mix are Jo Brand, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders, but Ayoade is the one Bake Off devotees are really getting excited about.

Stranger Things' Noah Schnapp, 12 years old, eloquently responds to gay rumors

After watching Netflix's radically '80s-style hit series Stranger Things, us viewers were left with a ton of questions surrounding the character Will Byers. How the heck did he live through that harrowing experience in the Upside Down? What exactly did he witness while there? Will the Upside Down start to bleed into his everyday life now that he's back with his mom and brother? And what in God's holy name was that bug-like thing that he hocked up in the sink at the end of the season finale?

Stanger Things gif
Image: Giphy

Though the above questions have haunted me since finishing Season 1, I was surprised to learn of another question many viewers were left with — and it has to do with Will Byers sexuality. It never occurred to me that Will might be gay — or straight, for that matter — because, frankly, there was so much other crazy shit going on that the possibility of Will being gay just didn't really cross my mind.

More: Finally there's proof Stranger Things' Steve is actually Jean-Ralphio's dad

That hasn't stopped other people from speculating about Will's sexuality, and rumors that he's gay have polarized fans. Some maintain that it's inappropriate to sexualize Will by making him a gay character, while others have argued that it's homophobic to deny that Will is homosexual.

But Noah Schnapp — the actor who portrays Will — says that both sides are doing it wrong, and he posted his two cents on Instagram.

More: The Stranger Things kids saved the 2016 Emmys with their nonstop coolness

"So I thought it would be time to jump into the conversation. I've been reading stuff for a while. I think everyone here is missing the point," Schnapp wrote in an Oct. 16 post. "An author called Gary Schmidt came to speak at our school this week and he said that good stories aren't supposed to leave you with answers because then you never question yourself and you forget about it. A good book, or a good show leaves a lot of unanswered questions but makes you think. Which is what you are all doing. For me, Will being gay or not is besides the point. Stranger Things is a show about a bunch of kids who are outsiders and find each other because they have been bullied in some way or are different. Does being sensitive, or a loner, or a teenager who likes photography, or a girl with red hair and big glasses, make you gay? I'm only 12 but I do know we all relate to being different. And that's why I think the Duffers wrote the show the way they did. So you can ask all these questions. I hope the real answer never comes out!"

Ryan Lochte was really excited to be on DWTS — if you catch our drift

Ryan Lochte's unfortunate wardrobe malfunction tonight revealed his true feelings about Dancing with the Stars.

More: DWTS' Julianne Hough did the right thing after Amber Rose body-shaming claims

Lochte stripped down for a sexy salsa number with Cheryl Burke, losing his shirt first and then his pants, leaving him only in some boxer-like neon-yellow shorts. Apparently, with Burke's hands all over him, stripping him down, Lochte couldn't help but get a little excited and those yellow shorts didn't do him any favors.

Luckily, it was all taken in good humor.

"I feel overdressed," Tom Bergeron told the dancing couple, who completed their tiny outfits with some neon paint.

Burke stepped in front of Lochte to shield him saying, "I'll cover him up a little."

To which Bergeron quipped, "All right, we don't want to see how excited he is about the comments."

Twitter, on the other hand, didn't seem to mind Lochte's lack of helpful clothing.

The judges didn't comment on Lochte's bulge, but instead moved on to comments about the dance, Turns out, Lochte had a reason to be excited because he scored a solid 30 out of 40 points for his performance.

He also made it through to the next week of the show, while (spoiler alert) Amber Rose and her pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were sent packing tonight.

After a rough beginning and that Olympics scandal, Lochte seems to be making a comeback through his time on Dancing with the Stars.

And he's got a lot to be happy about, other than just being on the show. He recently got engaged to girlfriend Kayla Rae Reid.

"My family says, ‘Don't you think it's a little too soon?' I'm like, 'Can you put a time on love? Can you?'" Lochte told USA Today Sports. "When I realized this was ‘the one' was when she stuck behind me through this. She still loves me and she's still right there with me."

Miley Cyrus just made The Voice's most memorable steal yet

Miley Cyrus was brought on The Voice to shake things up, and so far, she has definitely delivered. From her unusual outfits to her unexpected song choices, she offers a refreshing break from the usual. Anybody this different is going to attract a lot of criticism, of course (especially given all the controversy that surrounded her a few years ago), but I personally think it was smart of the powers that be at The Voice to take a risk.

More: Natasha Bure suffers The Voice's most bittersweet elimination yet

Tonight, Cyrus attracted attention yet again, and not just with her eye-catching attire. She made a great steal, plucking Josh Halverson from Team Alicia after Alicia Keys chose Kylie Rothfield. Keys was absolutely devastated by this difficult decision, but also very, very happy when Cyrus immediately stole Halverson. After all, he deserves to continue on in the competition.

Cyrus wasted no time and snagged Halverson the second she was informed that he was available for the steal. Cyrus told Halverson that she was all about diversity, and that she really wanted somebody unique on her team.

Cyrus' steal was smart and it was very, very fast, but ultimately, neither of these things caused the bulk of the buzz on social media. Twitter users weren't particularly concerned about who Cyrus stole, but rather, how she did it. In an unprecedented, yet Cyrus-appropriate move, she used her tongue to press the button and make the steal. Wow!

I personally am all for Cyrus' wackiness. Yes, it sometimes seems contrived, but after so many seasons of the same old Blake Shelton and Adam Levine bromance, I'm ready for something new. Also, I'm relieved that Halverson gets to stick around. Cyrus can press the steal button with her pinky toe for all I care — as long as she steals the right person, I'm happy.

Why Sheldon knocks three times on The Big Bang Theory is actually heartbreaking

$

0

Ever since The Big Bang Theory first debuted in 2007, fans have wondered why Sheldon Cooper knocks three times on a door before entering a room. Well, during Monday's episode, that question was finally answered.

More: Bernadette is truly the unsung feminist hero of The Big Bang Theory

Knocking three times in a row is one of Sheldon's many quirks, and the reason behind it is actually quite heartbreaking. In a confession to Penny, Sheldon explained that when he was just 13, he walked in on his dad having sex with another woman while his mom was at Bible study.

Since that devastating moment, Sheldon now knocks three times just to make sure he's not walking in on something that he shouldn't see, doesn't want to see or something that will upset him. As he told Penny, "The first one's traditional, but two and three are for people to get their pants on."

Sheldon knocking

Sheldon knocking

As annoying as Sheldon can be sometimes and whether or not you consider yourself a fan of his, there are times that he's relatable. Occasionally, he opens up about why he is the way he is or confesses something about himself he may be ashamed about. Those are the moments you can't help but sympathize with him.

Like with the knocking, there have been several other times when Sheldon has let others in. It's always interesting to learn more about him and why he is the way he is because he is such a unique and sometimes guarded character. With that, here are a few moments when we've gotten to know more about Sheldon as both a character and a person.

More: Does anyone else wish Penny's brother was a recurring character on TBBT?

1. When he confessed to Amy this major secret

Sheldon confesses to Amy

Sheldon confesses to Amy

In Season 9, Sheldon showed Amy his secret storage locker where he has kept every single thing he's ever owned, including old toothbrushes. It's something he's never told anyone and is ashamed of, so it was surprising to see him make such a confession to Amy. Of course, she made the situation better by not judging him and letting him know that whenever he wants to possibly throw some things out, she'll be there.

2. When he explained why he hadn't had sex with Amy yet

Sheldon and Penny

Sheldon and Penny

Sheldon's never been a physical or intimate person, but that all changed when he and Amy finally had sex for the first time. Though, one of the more eye-opening moments was before they consummated their relationship. Sheldon let his guard down and explained to Penny that he's always been uncomfortable with any type of physical contact, including just a handshake. Then, he even admitted that there was a possibility he would one day have sex with Amy. This was one of Sheldon's huger moments.

3. When he opened up about his hatred of Christmas

Sheldon hates Christmas

Sheldon hates Christmas

It's no secret that Sheldon hates Christmas and his hatred was finally explained in Season 6. Apparently, when he was a little boy, Sheldon asked Santa to bring back his grandfather (aka "Pop-Pop") who had just died that same year because he missed him. However, Santa didn't do that, and Sheldon has never looked at Santa or the holiday the same way again.

4. When he revealed the one ability he'd love to possess

Sheldon ability

Sheldon ability

While asking each other questions to get to know each other better, Sheldon revealed the one ability he'd want to have. He wished he could read minds, so he wouldn't feel so out of the loop about how people are feeling, what they really mean or what they're trying to tell him. It's hard for Sheldon to understand emotions and social cues, which is why he'd want to be a mind reader — then he wouldn't feel so stressed about being around people.

5. When he opened up about why he hates his birthday

Sheldon hates his birthday

Sheldon hates his birthday

Sheldon doesn't like presents, celebrations or surprises, which is why he was so against celebrating his birthday in the 200th episode. Before changing his mind and allowing Amy to throw him a party, Sheldon confessed that the reason he hates his birthday is because when he was younger all of his twin sister's friends would tease him constantly at their party. He also admitted that people he invited would never show up, but that didn't bother him so much, unlike being tortured by his sister's friends on his birthday.

Over the course of 10 seasons, fans sure have learned a lot about Sheldon Cooper, haven't they?

3. The release date

All four episodes will officially be released on Friday, Nov. 25 at 12:01 a.m. PT.

4. There will be a time jump

Basically, every single character Gilmore Girls fans know and love is returning, including Lorelai, Rory, Emily and Luke.

More: QUIZ: Think you're the biggest Gilmore Girls fan? Prove it!

6. Rory's love interests are appearing

Yes, all three of Rory's major love interests will make an appearance. It's unclear who she will end up with (or if she'll end up with any of them), but Dean, Jess and Logan are all returning.

7. The original series creator returned

Original series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino wrote all four episodes. Each of them also directed two of them.

8. The series title

The revival is titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

9. Those final four words

The infamous final four words ASP had planned since the very beginning will finally be revealed. They will also be exchanged between Lorelai and Rory. As Lauren Graham told Entertainment Weekly, the final four words don't bring closure, but actually set up some type of a cliff-hanger.

10. First-look photos

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, fans can get a better view of the revival through these sneak-peek photos.

More: Jess' official return to Gilmore Girls could mean bad news for Dean fans

11. Luke and Lorelai's relationship status

After all these years, Luke and Lorelai are still not married, EW revealed (via TV Line). As frustrating as that is, there is going to be a wedding, so maybe it's theirs?

12. Richard's death

Seeing as Edward Herrmann died in 2014, his character Richard will no longer be part of the GG universe. Kelly Bishop told TV Line that when the revival begins, four months have passed since Richard's death.

13. A lot of new characters

From Parenthood's Mae Whitman (yes, she is reuniting with her TV mom Graham), to Younger's Sutton Foster, to Bunheads' Stacey Oristano, to Scandal's Dan Bucatinsky, there are a lot of new characters popping up in Stars Hollow.

14. Melissa McCarthy will return

Despite all of that drama over whether or not, and why McCarthy wouldn't return as Sookie, that's all over and done with. She is back as Lorelai's best friend — thank goodness.

15. Here is the poster

Hmm... what are these two so shocked over? Is Kirk showing a horrible movie at the Stars Hollow movie theater? Does it have to do with all that baby talk? Whatever it is, Luke and Lorelai are really surprised.

18. A funeral is happening

Emily, Lorelai, Rory

Based on the above photo released by Entertainment Weekly, Emily, Rory and Lorelai are all at the cemetery. I can only imagine this is in relation to the death of Richard. If this photo is making me emotional now, I can only imagine how I'll feel seeing it play out on-screen.

19. They still eat at Luke's Diner

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, fans will feel so much excitement over seeing Rory and Lorelai hanging once again with Luke at his diner. Also, take note of Lorelai drinking coffee, those holiday decorations in the background and how Luke is still wearing his famous hat.

20. Rory's job is...

In a September interview with Us Weekly, Alexis Bledel revealed that despite all of the speculation over Rory possibly being a teacher, she is definitely not. "She has been working hard, as she does," Bledel said. "She started her work as a journalist at the same time that newspapers were going away. Her field changed dramatically as she was just kind of getting up and running. So that’s where we pick up with her." She added, "It’s real time, so it’s been about eight years that she’s been living a bit of a vagabond lifestyle, kind of chasing each story that she becomes passionate about and wants to tell." Everyone feel better now?

21. This other coffee-themed poster

GG poster

Just in time for National Coffee Day on Thursday, Sept. 29, this poster — featuring Lorelai, Rory and of course, coffee — was released.

22. Another mini Parenthood reunion

While chatting with Bustle, Parenthood star Sarah Ramos revealed that not only did she visit Lauren Graham on the set of the GG revival, but she also filmed a scene. She doesn't have any lines, but may be spotted in the background at some point near the gazebo. Here's hoping she just happens to be in the same episode as her and Graham's other Parenthood co-star, Mae Whitman.

23. Some "intense adult scenes"

Scott Patterson revealed at Entertainment Weekly's pre-Emmys party (via E! News) that Luke and Lorelai will have some steamy scenes. He said, "There are definitely some fireworks there. We did some really intense adult scenes. Since the movies are only an hour and a half long, it has way more detail and the writing is deeper and seems longer, so it sort of changed." Well, that sure sounds like something fans will enjoy.

24. A new featurette

If you're like us, by now you've probably completely fallen in love with NBC's new show This Is Us. From the tear-jerking storylines to the well-timed snippets of comic relief and back to the insane plot twists they keep throwing our way — it's safe to say we're enamored.

It's also safe to say we are beyond obsessed with the show's entire cast. They're a crazy-talented ensemble that includes the likes of Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown and Justin Hartley — but the breakout performer who's stolen our hearts is, without a doubt, Chrissy Metz.

More: This is Us' Chrissy Metz's battle with self-acceptance started with Hollywood

Find out why.

1. She earned her success

Chrissy Metz 2

Chrissy Metz 2

While Hollywood certainly has its fair share of overnight success stories, Metz is not one of them. No, she had to claw her way to the big-time through hard work and determination, and it makes us admire her that much more.

Metz chatted with SheKnows about how difficult it was to balance acting with trying to pay the bills early on in her career.

"It’s just about trying to find your footing," Metz told us of striking a balance between working a day job, studying the craft and going out on auditions. "But I also felt like, 'What am I doing? I’m gonna get stuck in a vortex.'"

But Metz persevered and ended up on a hit NBC show. It doesn't get much better than that.

2. She has a healthy outlook on life

Chrissy Metz 1

Metz may have struggled while coming up, but the experience hasn't made her hardened or bitter. In fact, it's made her appreciate everything that's happening now that much more.

"Success is about happiness and what makes you happy and not necessarily how many shows you booked that year or how much money you have in your bank account," Metz told us. "Because all those things are fleeting. But it was so important for me to go on this journey the way I did — because I believe everything happens for a reason. So while it was really difficult, there's a lot of humility and I’m really grateful for the whole scope of what happened."

3. The girl can sang

Chrissy Metz singing YouTube

We got a little taste of Metz's voice in the third episode of This Is Us, but her performance in the old-folks home was really just the tip of the iceberg.

4. She knows life is all about love

Chrissy Metz 3

"The stories we are made to believe — that if we look this way, drive this car, live in that zip code, we will ultimately be happy. We constantly compare and compete with one another — and for what?" she said in an interview with Chubstr. "We all want the same thing. We all just want to be respected and admired. That all boils down to love. We end up sacrificing who we truly are just to get back to the place that we originated from, which is love."

5. She was in frickin' American Horror Story

Chrissy Metz 4

Chrissy Metz 4

AHS has been our obsession for years, and Metz was amazing as Ima Wiggles in the Freak Show season. But what's even more impressive than her performance in Freak Show is her feeling about her character.

"I would like to think talent 'weighs' out, but plus-size actresses are still typically the butt of the joke in the storyline," she told Chubstr. "What was especially wonderful in Freak Show was that, not only was Ima accepted into the freak family, but she accepted herself, first. It was also really refreshing to see a big girl who was attractive, and dare I say, sought after. Hair/makeup and costumes really made me feel pretty, no matter what size I was. Can I get an Amen?"

Amen.

6. She's honestly touched by the This Is Us response

Chrissy Metz 5

Metz was open with SheKnows about being grateful regarding the amazing reaction audiences have had to This Is Us, and for her, it has made all her earlier struggles worth it.

"I’ve had these responses from men and women who’ve been so kind and loving and wonderful and gracious and it’s overwhelming," she told us. "It's really overwhelming, but I feel truly in my heart that we're here to commune, and we're a community, and to be close as human beings and to make — we're all here to help each other and if I can do that while pursuing my dreams, it's unreal."

7. She's a hopeless romantic

Chrissy Metz 6

Chrissy Metz 6

Metz is a sucker for love poems, and counts R.M. Drake as one of her faves.

"I'm a hopeless romantic. I romanticize everything," she wrote on Instagram. "I love poems. I love poems about love. That's just the way it is."

8. Her Snapchat game is strong

"I don't eat trash." Metz's alter ego Elenore is priceless.

9. And her Old English accent is nothing short of amazing

Seriously, follow her on Snapchat tout de suite (username: themids929).

10. She's fierce

Metz is a self-proclaimed lipstick enthusiast, according to her Twitter bio. This reason, coupled with everything mentioned above is exactly why we want her to be our best friend forever.

The Voice is so much better with Miley Cyrus’ and Alicia Keys' girl power

This might not be the last we see of Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus together, and no, I'm not talking about their future on the recently renewed The Voice. In the very near future, these talented ladies just might launch their own tour!

More: Miley Cyrus just made The Voice's most memorable steal yet

Keys is universally loved on The Voice, while Cyrus is... a little more controversial. But each of these ladies brings something valuable to the show, and clearly, they get along famously. They frequently joke around together or comment on singers they like. They also bounce ideas around together, as evidenced during a brief clip from tonight's episode.

More: Child star Billy Gilman is ready to make his comeback on The Voice

Keys offered up a wonderful suggestion: She and Cyrus could start a label together. Cyrus countered with another excellent idea: Team Miley and Team Alicia could go on tour together!

Miley Cyrus

Cyrus' suggestion is brilliant, and proof that she deserves more credit than her detractors are willing to give. The contestants from The Voice are notoriously under-promoted to the point that victory is no guarantee of even a moderately successful career. A Team Miley and Team Alicia tour could provide the exposure these talented artists need. And a label would be even better. Why not let these talented contestants get their names out under the guidance of two of the show's finest coaches?

More: Natasha Bure suffers The Voice's most bittersweet elimination yet

This was just a small moment on a show full of amazing music, but moments like this remind me why the chemistry this season is so good. Before, the one gal featured on every season was forced to roll her eyes and joke about the wayward boys — Blake Shelton and Adam Levine in particular. This season, however, the ladies have plenty of friendly interactions, many of which rival Shelton and Levine's finest bromance moments.

Miley Cyrus
Image: NBC

I'm not sure if Cyrus' and Keys' tour and label ideas were just idle chatter or a real possibility, but I hope they have actually put some thought into these plans. I love the girl power they bring to the show, and I would love to see it extend beyond the television screen and into the tour circuit. Until then, I'll continue to enjoy their offhand remarks and their growing friendship on The Voice.

Jana Duggar deserves more than her sheltered life

People have been speculating for years about Jana Duggar's love life. With her extensive child care (and tree house-building, and gardening and home-decorating) duties documented first on 19 Kids and Counting and now Counting On, it's easy to see why she's been nicknamed Cinderella Duggar. Yes, she's a wonderful caretaker, but as critics of the show continually insist, she's capable of so much more. Unfortunately, as we've seen with Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald, there's little chance of her broadening her horizons, whether or not she gets married.

More: Jana Duggar gets emotional while talking about finding a husband

Jana Duggar

The limits put on Jana's potential were especially evident during tonight's episode of Counting On, in which she was once again involved in an incredibly stale storyline about her efforts to redecorate the already beautiful guesthouse. Despite having a very brief spat with Jessa over decor style, she managed to put together an impressive homecoming for Jill and Derick, who were thrilled. The other Duggar siblings and in-laws were also impressed, with Derick commenting that Jana could go into interior design, and Joy-Anna claiming that Jana could easily open a home decor business.

More: Jeremy Vuolo's proposal on Counting On was worth the wait

The sad look on Jana's face said more than a million articles about Cinderella Duggar ever could. As an unmarried female member of the Duggar family, Jana's options are limited. She can continue to watch over Jim Bob and Michelle's brood or she can marry and have kids of her own. Even if she does marry, it's not likely that she'll ever have a life outside of caring for children. Yes, children are blessings, but it's really sad that arguably one of the smartest and most gifted Duggars' talents are being wasted. In another family, there would be room for both parenting (or caring for siblings) and pursuing a career in interior design, music or something else of Jana's choosing.

Jana Duggar
Image: TLC

Jana sometimes seems weary and beaten-down, but also cautiously optimistic. There are things about her life that she really does love: her siblings, her garden, her music and yes, her decorating efforts. She may be sheltered, but she is an adult and has the ability to break free and lead a different type of life if she so chooses. Until then, she just might be demonstrating her own quiet rebellion by carving out a life for herself, free of repeated pregnancies and home births.

Freeform's The Letter sent the wrong message about makeup-free confidence

$

I'm loving the focus on body confidence and empowerment on Freeform's The Letter, but I have serious issues with the way this week's show tried to boost one young woman's self-esteem.

More: Freeform's The Letter had me wanting to try the body-confidence challenge stat

This week's episode highlighted a group of four Valley Girls, who upon first glance seemed to fit all the stereotypes. The most stereotypical gal was arguably Anna, who was accused of spending all of her time on her phone. The other women mentioned how heavily Anna doctors all of her photos — and obsesses about all of the likes she receives on Instagram and Facebook.

Each woman was issued a challenge for the week, and the first part of Anna's challenge was great — she was asked to lock up her phone. Some people just have to be forced to unplug, and for those who base all of their worth on social media, limited access is definitely a good thing.

Anna on The Letter
Image: Freeform

The problematic part of Anna's challenge was her selfie-taking session. She had to take two very different selfies: one in which she wore absolutely no makeup and another in which she was dolled up to her heart's desire. Both photos were then blown up and put on display in public, with complete strangers asked to vote for which photo they liked better. To Anna's surprise, more people liked her makeup-free look, although a few did admit to liking her better in makeup.

More: How the media is promoting unhealthy body image expectations

I'm all for makeup-free selfies. I think it's great that so many women are willing to embrace the natural look on social media and in the real world. My issue is not that Anna was encouraged to take a makeup-free selfie, but rather that she was essentially told to continue measuring her self-worth in terms of likes and favorites, and not based on something a little more substantial. Also, what if this little experiment had gone the wrong way? What if more people had voted for the heavy makeup selfie? Anna would have taken away the wrong message. I don't think there was ever any chance of that happening because this entire segment felt very contrived.

More: 11 things that happen when you go makeup-free in public

Makeup or no makeup, women should not make major decisions based on likes, even if those likes are recorded on little slips of paper and not on Facebook. I fear that this particular challenge taught both Anna and the show's viewers the wrong lesson.

What did you think of the no-makeup selfie challenge on The Letter? Was it helpful — or did it cause further harm? Comment and share your opinion below.

I'm so confused by Ben Higgins' wedding nerves on Ben & Lauren

I don't understand why Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell were so conflicted about televising their wedding live on The Bachelor. They're starring in a reality TV show together for goodness sake! The time for privacy is well past.

More: Lauren Bushnell needs to move on from the Ben Higgins & JoJo Fletcher drama

Bushnell had every right to be nervous about Higgins' cold feet given the cameras in their face every day. What's one more evening?

All in all, after only two episodes of Ben & Lauren, I have to say, I'm a little bit nervous for these two. They seem to be on different pages quite a lot. Higgins agreed to both the After the Final Rose special as well as brunch with JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers without really clarifying how Bushnell felt about the whole situation first. On the flip side, Bushnell was ready for the on-camera wedding, while Higgins wasn't there with her.

More: Why are they casting women so much younger than Nick Viall on The Bachelor?

I'm not trying to suggest that couples don't have disagreements. Of course they do. A lot. But I think what I'm not seeing from Bushnell and Higgins yet is a teamwork-type mentality to pull them through. The conversation about their wedding should have happened long before Chris Harrison came knocking on their door. The same is true of Bushnell's insecurities about Fletcher and Higgins' relationship on the show.

I don't think it's a doomed relationship for Higgins and Bushnell. Far from it. I just think they need to work some things out before they tie the knot. I do agree with Higgins that there is no reason to rush into things. Luckily, the two seem to have recognized that too, as they recently announced they're in couples counseling. That's a healthy way for them to work together and get on the same page before their wedding.

Grey's Anatomy is destroying us with all the characters they've killed off

Loyal Grey's Anatomy fans have followed Meredith and the gang through more than 12 seasons of medical drama, and the years haven't been kind to everyone at Seattle Grace. In memoriam, we're taking a look back at some of the tragic deaths that have rocked our world over the years — and upon doing so, we realized that Shonda Rhimes is trying to destroy us one gut-wrenching loss at a time.

Image: Giphy

1. McDreamy

Image: Giphy

Let's start things off with a bang, shall we? There's been a ton of death on Grey's Anatomy, but nothing shook us to the core quite like when Dr. Derek Shepherd met his maker. McDreamy was taken from us suddenly in Season 11 after he was involved in a tragic car accident, and the scene where Meredith says her final goodbye to her husband still gives us chills.

More: Not gonna lie, Meredith should mention Derek in every Grey's Anatomy episode

2. Samuel Norbert Avery

Image: ABC

It's hard to witness the death of any character, but when a baby dies, it's just devastating. In Season 11, Jackson and April made the hard decision to induce labor early when they learned Samuel's rare medical condition was causing him pain in the womb — and sadly, he didn't make it. Samuel's death was really the beginning of the end of the Japril relationship.

More: Hey, now! Did Owen and Amelia just make a baby on Grey's Anatomy?

3. Jimmy Evans

Jimmy Evans Grey's Anatomy
Image: ABC

Alex Karev's father Jimmy Evans died a relatively peaceful death on the Season 10 winter premiere episode after a pretty tumultuous recurring role throughout the season. A former heroin addict and current alcoholic who beat his wife and sons when they were younger, Evans ditched Karev and his siblings early in life. As such, Karev has daddy issues, which manifested in a major way in season 10 after his girlfriend Jo proved Karev's patient was actually his father. Evans' health goes downhill after complications from his alcohol and drug abuse lead to cardiac arrest and, subsequently, a botched surgery at the hands of sleep-deprived, ego-trippin' intern Shane. Karev forgives his dad, tells him it's OK to let go and says goodbye for the last time.

4. Heather Brooks

Image: Giphy

She may have been a bit overeager, but we liked Brooks. She was shaping up to be a real contender for favorite resident. Brooks tragically died in the Season 10 premiere after she got electrocuted in the basement trying to find Dr. Webber. Shepherd attempts surgery to save her life to no avail. Yikes.

5. Adele Webber

Image: Giphy

Chief Richard Webber's wife, Adele Webber, suffers through the last few seasons of her time on Grey's Anatomy with Alzheimer's. Even though Meredith Grey tampers with her and Shepherd's Alzheimer's drug trial to get Adele the medicine she needs, Adele's Alzheimer's continues to get worse. On the way to Bailey's wedding, Richard receives a call from the hospital telling him that Adele is on the way to the hospital. Bailey and Richard head to the hospital together, where Bailey immediately begins to work on Adele. They ended up working on her together, though, nearly causing Bailey to totally miss her own wedding. While the talented surgeons were able to save Adele's life on the table, the surgery proved too stressful for her heart and she died of a heart attack soon after.

6. McSteamy

Image: Giphy

Remember when Mark Sloan first came to Seattle Grace? Hello, Dr. McSteamy! Sure, he was a bit of a philanderer who wrecked Addison and Derek's marriage in the beginning of the series, but his growth and benevolence later more than made up for his initial shortcomings. He really made us swoon over his love for on/off girlfriend Lexie Grey, which ultimately kind of ended up being the death of him. When he, Lexie and several other Seattle Grace doctors go down in a plane crash, Lexie gets crushed beneath debris from the plane and dies. Sloan confesses his undying devotion to her in her final moments, lamenting that they were "supposed to end up together. We're meant to be." Although it appears for a time that he'll overcome his injuries, you get the sense the fight is gone from him now that he's lost Lexie, and he ultimately slips into a coma and dies in the Season 9 premiere.

Next up: Lexie Grey

7. Lexie Grey

Image: Giphy

Kind of just gave this one away, huh? To be honest, we're still not really over this. Lexie was smart, she was funny and she had a lot more going on upstairs than the Grey's average medical intern. Known particularly for her photographic memory, "Lexipedia" had grown on everyone over the years, including her half-sister Meredith. But, alas, during the Season 8 finale, as she and other doctors struggle to stay alive injured in the wilderness after their plane crash, Lexie dies — in quite possibly the most crushing (literally and figuratively) Grey's Anatomy death scene ev-er.

8. Dr. Thomas

Image: ABC

We weren't prepared to see Yang lose her mentor when Dr. Craig Thomas died on the operating room floor in Season 9. But we did see that Cristina was able to breathe through the surgery with him literally dying beside her, relying on all the skills he's taught her through the years. Quite poetic, really.

9. Henry Burton

Image: Giphy

Oh, Scott Foley, how we love thee. We were super-excited when Foley came to Grey's Anatomy as Henry Burton, a lifelong diabetic who makes Dr. Teddy Altman believe in love again. True, she married him at first so that he could benefit from her insurance and get the surgery he needed. But ultimately, their marriage of convenience turned into a real marriage when, in the Season 8 finale, she chooses Henry over going to Germany with her on/off boyfriend Dr. Perkins. They kissed, we swooned and then he died. OK, the sequence of events was a bit more spaced out than that, but when he died during surgery performed by Dr. Yang, let's just say we died a little too.

More: Could Shonda Rhimes be staging a Grey's Anatomy spinoff for Karev?

10. Reed Adamson

Image: ABC

OK, so not everyone was devastated by the Season 6 exit of Reed Adamson, but that doesn't mean she deserved to get shot in the face.

11. Denny Duquette

Image: Giphy

A heart patient at the hospital, Denny Duquette becomes friends with Izzie Stevens early in his stay. While he is waiting for a heart transplant, he and Stevens actually fall in love and get engaged. In a desperate move, Izzie cuts Duquette's LVAD wire, getting him a new heart. Unfortunately, he develops a blood clot and dies. Le sigh... another one bites the dust. Our grief was momentarily tempered in Seasons 3 and 5 when Izzie started seeing him everywhere, but sadly, it turns out he is actually just a symptom of her brain tumor.

12. George O'Malley

Image: ABC

The first real heartbreaker on Grey's was the tragic death of everyone's buddy, George O'Malley, way back in the Season 6 premiere. He'd finally come out on the other side of his drama with Izzie and his wife-for-a-hot-minute Callie Torres, and was totally hitting his stride. When he decided to follow in the military footsteps of Dr. Hunt and enlist in the Army, we knew he was probably leaving the show. However, we didn't realize his exit would be quite so dramatic — on his way to tell his mom about enlisting, he jumps in front of a bus to save a woman's life, sacrificing himself instead. He later dies in surgery after a brief period of being the bandaged man whose identity is unknown.

American Crime Story will investigate the murder of Gianni Versace in Season 3

Fresh off its Emmy sweep, Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story has been renewed for a third season before the second season has even aired, and they have a new celebrity murder to focus on. Season 3 of American Crime Story will reportedly focus on the murder of designer Gianni Versace by the serial killer Andrew Cunanan.

More: American Crime Story digs up memories of the O.J. Simpson trial

Taking a slightly different route than The People vs. OJ Simpson, instead of a celebrity alleged murderer and camera-heavy trial, American Crime Story Season 3 tentatively called Versace/Cunanan is about a celebrity victim. Now, if you weren’t around in 1997 when Versace was shot in front of his home in Miami Beach, Florida, you probably have a lot of questions. Here’s everything you need to know about the Versace murder before the show starts in 2018.

The shooting of Gianni Versace

Versace
Image: George Rose/Getty Images

First, the facts: Gianni Versace, famed designer of the Versace brand, was shot and killed on July 16, 1997 on the front steps of his home in Miami Beach. He was 50 years old and killed by two gunshots to the head.

Early on in the investigation, suspicion turned to Andrew Cunanan, a man already wanted by the FBI for four murders. Eight days after Versace’s murder, Cunanan was found dead in a hotel room of an apparent suicide. Cunanan never stood trial, he never confessed or defended his actions, but he was identified by witnesses as Versace’s shooter.

Andrew Cunanan

Andrew Cunanan
Image: FBI/Getty Images

Andrew Cunanan was 27 when he went on a cross-country killing spree and captured the attention of reporters around the nation. It’s not every day a serial killer turns his gun on a famed fashion designer, and Cunanan quickly became as much of a story as Versace himself.

A smart young man with a reportedly genius level I.Q. and photographic memory, Cunanan was slightly down on his luck. Growing up, Cunanan developed a taste for extravagant things, something he desperately chased in his adult life. He worked as a gay gigolo in San Diego, where, according to reports by Vanity Fair reporter Maureen Orth whose book on the subject, Vulgar Favors, is providing the basis for Versace/Cunanan, he was known for seeking out rich, older clients. This, for some, has provided a theory as to why he targeted Versace: Versace was a rich, gay man who had everything Cunanan wanted.

More: American Crime Story: Alarming ways the O.J. case is still relevant today

The motive

A serial killer with the FBI on his tail, Andrew Cunanan could probably be the subject of his own television show. Before killing Versace, Cunnan had made his way across the country from California, killing two ex lovers, David Madson and Jeff Trail in Minneapolis; a 73-year-old realtor, Lee Miglin in Chicago; and 45-year-old William Reese in New Jersey. Other than Madson and Trail, there appeared to be very little motive for Cunanan’s killings, though he did steal Reese’s pickup truck.

Versace appeared at first to have no connection to Cunanan, which, of course, only made the serial killer more intriguing. It was later reported that Cunanan had met Versace years earlier in Los Angeles, but the accuracy of these reports have been called into question. In the end, police found no official motive for the crime. "We would all like to know, especially in a high-profile case like this. Unfortunately, the real answer to that went down with the ship, so to speak," Miami Beach Police Chief Richard Barreto said in 1997.

More: American Crime Story will prove Hurricane Katrina was a crime in Season 2

Was it a mob hit?

Despite the absence of a motive, ever since Versace’s murder, rumors have spread that he was killed as part of a mafia hit. The year before Versace’s death, his brother Santo was found guilty of bribery, and some alleged that Versace’s brand was built on ties to the mafia. The fact that Versace was shot at the base of his head, execution-style, only fueled the rumors. And, in 2010, Giuseppe Di Bella, a former member of the Italian Mafia, claimed that Versace was killed because he owed debts to the mob.

A secret illness

In Vulgar Favors, Orth revealed that Versace had been diagnosed as HIV-positive in the years leading up to his murder. Versace’s HIV status had been kept top secret; only his family knew of his condition, but Orth learned of his status from a Miami Detective, who read his autopsy report. According to an article in the NY Daily News, the detective had originally theorized that perhaps Cunanan had killed Versace for infecting him with HIV, but Cunanan was not HIV-positive. Orth wrote that Versace had likely kept his HIV status a secret because he feared what it might do to his business, which he hoped to take public before his death.

Versace family

Donatella Versace
Image: WENN

It’s hard to imagine the Versace family supporting this upcoming season of American Crime Story, especially if they plan on delving into Versace’s personal life and his HIV status. In 1999, when Vulgar Favors was released and Versace’s HIV status revealed to the public, a spokesperson for the Versace family called it a "mercenary invasion of their privacy." It’s unlikely that their feelings have changed much since.

American Crime Story: Versace/Cunanan won't hit airwaves until 2018. But, don't worry, the next two years won't be completely void of American Crime Story. Season 2 of the acclaimed drama will focus on Hurricane Katrina and air sometime in 2017.

How Michaela Bradshaw became Survivor's unexpected hero

Everybody, drop your buffs.

Those words from Jeff Probst always strike a wide range of emotions. It was no different on Survivor: Millennials Vs. Gen-X when both groups learned their generational divisions were being dissolved and expanded into a trio of tribes. Exciting, right? Not so fast. Anybody who ended up on the new green (Ikabula) tribe would go to an all-new beach and have to start over totally fresh. That meant building a new shelter and sparking a new fire.

More: Adam Klein's Survivor story was so touching it had viewers in tears

Naturally, nobody liked the idea of being forced to start over — especially Michaela. As luck would have it, she was one of six people to draw a green buff. She angrily threw it on the sand with a sharp glare burning from her eyes that could cut through concrete.

She openly told Probst how disappointed she was before later admitting she "wanted to flick him off right there, but I didn't."

More: Survivor winners: Where are they now?

Instead of stumbling on the new hurdle she faced at the new Ikabula beach, Michaela was triumphant. She even moved herself to tears after successfully starting her tribe's camp fire when the men failed at the same task. She truly was amazing, and I have grown to appreciate everything about Michaela. I hope she goes far.

In their first Immunity challenge, Michaela was the primary reason Ikabula finished in first place. Her personality definitely became the bright shining light this season has needed, and fans have taken notice.

Original loyalties die

The battle of Millennials Vs. Gen-X quickly vanished on Vanua (orange) as they faced their first elimination as a new tribe. It was refreshing to see each side was willing to mesh with the other instead of creating a voting block based on the Gen-X numbers advantage. Chris and David joined forces with Michelle and Zeke to oust CC.

It was an underwhelming finish to a fun episode.

Ciandre Taylor of Survivor: Millennials Vs. Gen-X

Other musings

  • David found his second hidden Immunity Idol just one day after he shockinly used it to spare Jessica from elimination.
  • Jessica told Ken about her "Legacy Advantage" and said she would have given it to him had she been eliminated. Although Ken said this made him restore his trust in her, I think it may bite Jessica in the butt. Now that he knows she's willing to give up her advantage to him after she gets voted off, he now has an incentive to get her out of the game.
  • Taylor's head doesn't seem like it's in the game at all. Instead, week after week we've had to listen to him gush his love for Figgy, a woman he has known for a few days. Seriously, dude. Give it up and please do something to play the game. This isn't Temptation Island. At least she tried to hide their romantic bond a bit after the tribal shake up despite his constant "you're hot" whispers.
  • Zeke and Chris formed an unlikely bond based on their Oklahoma roots, which could be the start of a strong alliance that goes deep into the game. Zeke was in awe that Chris played for the championship Sooners, which was a big part of his childhood.

What's your take on the episode? Do you think CC was the right person to eliminate? Have you fallen in love with Michaela? At this point, who do you think is most deserving of winning? Join the conversation and leave a comment in the section below.

Well, Nick and Sonia have not moved back in together, but they will be spending more time together as the two embark on a mini vacation before the final decision to stay together or get a divorce.Nick is hoping the vacation helps them to move past the issues.Dr. Pepper Schwartz says "the stakes are high for them."The two go to South Beach for a quick getaway and they go on a bike ride together. While activities might help the couple become connected in friendship, I wonder if it will build the connection needed for a long-lasting marriage to begin. Rachel DeAlto emphasizes that Sonia needs to feel "emotionally safe" in order to move in with Nick again, but that Sonia needs to give him an honest chance. Nick says that he wants to make Sonia feel comfortable sharing space. Sonia says she is focusing on being "present." By the end of the episode, she does not move back in.She does, however, put on her wedding ring.

The reality is, it is too little time to have to make such a decision, and the time frame is one of my biggest concerns about the show. Nick simply hasn't had time enough to show that he understands that he made a mistake in his previously hurtful words or to fix the underlying issue that made him speak so poorly to her. Nick doesn't just need to create a connection with her, he has to work on himself. The show seems to believe that if they work together to maintain a strong marriage, that the work will equal success.I have always found fault with this concept.

A a strong marriage takes effort and time, yes. But, when someone’s words are so hurtful and mean-spirited, the individual has to self-reflect and figure out why that occurred and how that can never occur again. Sonia makes a great effort to try and move forward and spend time with Nick.I give her a lot of credit for continuing the experiment after these problems showed up.I see her attempting to create a positive experience for both of them.Even when Nick was asked if he would do the experiment over again, he never actually said he would do it again because of her.He said he enjoyed the new experiences. It is not Sonia who needs to change, it's Nick.

Next week it's decision time, and we'll all see if they choose to stay married or end the relationship.

I refuse to say I'm disappointed with AHS: Roanoke's big twist

The promised Episode 6 of AHS: Roanoke definitely flipped the tables, but I still have a huge problem with this season: All of these characters are really, really stupid.

Spoiler alert: Do not continue reading unless you want all the terrifying dirt about AHS: Roanoke Episode 6.

More: Episode 5 better not be all the Evan Peters we get in AHS: Roanoke

Why in the world would these characters agree to hang out in this house after everything that happened there? Money? Ignorance? All of the above?

We're told in the episode that by the end of filming (aka, presumably the end of Season 6) everyone except one person will be dead. Why wouldn't everyone book it out of that house after the first death? There's no way it's a mass slaughter. OK, I mean, maybe, but then there would really only need to be one more episode in the season.

I think we can logically assume they stay despite all reason to run. Just like Shelby and Matt wouldn't abandon ship until it was way too late, the new residents of the Roanoke nightmare house are just as dumb.

I'm ready for someone to look around the room and ask, in all seriousness, "Why the hell am I still here?"

More: The American Horror Story Season 6 opener was all anticipation and no delivery

I'm obsessed with American Horror Story as a franchise, so I refuse to say this season so far has been kind of a letdown. I have such faith in creator Ryan Murphy that I cling to the hope that it will all come full circle. His characters are always so well-thought-out that I can't imagine this season won't pan out to be the same.

Unfortunately, at this point, I'm skeptical.

OK, so Hotel can reign supreme as my favorite season with Asylum as a close second. Luckily, the show has been renewed for a Season 7, so Murphy still has a chance to top his work next year.

As for AHS: Roanoke, I will absolutely keep watching until the season finale. I'm just not sure this season will blow me away in the same way Hotel did.

Do you think AHS: Roanoke lives up to American Horror Story seasons past?
